This is the end of the road where the northeast boundary of Los Angeles County ends and San Bernardino County begins. This remote road is located in the Antelope Valley near Saddle Back Butte. The paved road ends here and turns into a rough, washed out dirt road strewn with jagged rocks. Access to nearby Shadow Mountain and Kramer junction requires an off road vehicle or at least a vehicle with high clearance. Occasionally, I see another idiot like me driving around in the area in a passenger car. But, it’s a bumpy ride that’s hell on a vehicle – a rough ride as the saying goes.
